Nurture our gifts

Everybody has strengths and weaknesses. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we nurtured children’s gifts instead of trying to make them fit into the same box. We label children as disruptive if they can’t sit when they may infact be great dancers or have good motor skills. We label them slow if they don’t speak, yet Einstein didn’t speak til he was 4 and he was far from slow. By comparing children and testing them, all we are doing is creating adults with low self esteem. It’s time for a major shift in education!
